Get rid of lyme disease
December 14th, 2011 | by sa |Lyme disease is often associated with heavily wooded or grassy areas where mice and deer live. Left untreated, lyme disease symptoms can become more serious and include joint swelling and arthritis (inflammation of the joints), especially of the knees. Lyme disease can also affect the nervous system causing stiffness, headache, loss of muscle tone, and even paralysis. If you think your child could be at risk for Lyme disease or has been bitten by a tick, call your doctor. Treatment for Lyme disease is most effective if begun early. Only a minority of deer tick bites leads to Lyme disease. In the early stages, your health care provider will look at your symptoms and medical history, to figure out whether you have Lyme disease.
